The Nicole Sasser Quartet...
featuring vocalist and trumpeter Nicole Sasser, has been together since the summer of 2006. Nicole, a new resident to Florida, along with Central Florida natives Dave Sheffield and Michael Murillo, combine their passion for music to present a concert which is true to the music and the great artists who have come before them. The group’s repertoire includes standards made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, just to name a few.
Nicole Sasser (Vocals/Trumpet)
Nicole, a talented vocalist, has played trumpet since childhood, which allows her to apply precise phrasing and melodic ideas to the music she performs. She studied music at the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree. She also performs with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra in Melbourne, and in the Main Street Philharmonic at Disneyworld.
Dave Sheffield (Piano)
Dave is a well known and respected performer on both piano and trombone in the greater Orlando area. He is currently the pianist for the Altamonte Jazz ensemble and a trombonist for the Sam River’s RivBea Orchestra.
Michael Murillo (Double Bass)
Michael has been performing in the Central Florida area for over eight years. He has performed with many ensembles including the UCF Jazz band, the Julie Lyon Quartet, and the Tom Cabrera Trio. Michael has also played with many jazz professionals including Vance Villastrigo, Jeff Rupert, & Sam Rivers.
